Pam Barker is the CEO of Yfoundations, the peak body for youth homelessness in NSW. With a background in psychology, Pam is passionate about helping young people out of homelessness through a mixture of advocacy and leadership.
Pam brings extensive experience across the not-for-profit sector, including roles at the Black Dog Institute, Open Doors Youth Service, and ACON. She works tirelessly to achieve better long-term outcomes for children and young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Especially those in out-of-home care, LGBTIQA+ and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
Pam sits on the board of My Foundations Youth Housing, WayAhead Mental Health Association, Homelessness Australia (HA) and is accredited by the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Her experience includes youth services, homelessness prevention, mental health programs, and policy reform.
For over 40 years, Yfoundations has served as the NSW peak body representing children and young people at risk of and experiencing homelessness, as well as the services that provide direct support to them.
We aim to create a future without youth homelessness by providing a voice for children and young people experiencing and at risk of homelessness. We work collaboratively with service providers, NGOs, government departments and community members to provide research, sector development and policy advice, health projects and services for children and young people.

The StandBy program is focused on supporting anyone who has been bereaved or impacted by suicide at any stage in their life. StandBy is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing free face-to-fac e and/or telephone support at a time and place that is bes for each individual. StandBy builds community preparedness and resilience through extensive training to community and professional groups to ensure effectiveness and that duplicated effort is avoided. The program is also ideally placed tpo offer a settings-based approach, providing group support after a suicide for schools, workplaces and community groups.
